Blama

Steel Banglez steps in with Morrisson and Tion Wayne on the intoxicating summer-stunner ‘Blama’.

Forrest Gate’s platinum producer Steel Banglez has been the iconic beat-machine pushing hit after hit throughout the UK’s rise to musical recognition for some time now; dropping afro-swing infused anthem’s with Ladbrooke Grove’s AJ Tracey on the infectious ‘Fashion Week’, to offerings brushing shoulders with Brum’s star-boy Mist on ‘Game Changer’.

Steel’s been working in the shadows over these past few years, seeing him hibernate within the studio ensuing his hot-streak within 2K19, curating anthem after anthem with some of the UK’s most sort after musicians. Sequencing the wait-worthy hiatus, the composer returns with an undeniable banger that’s certainly set to chart in the spirited ‘Blama’ - seeing the industry gem link up with Eastender, Morrison. Riddled with pungent kicks and 808 slides contrasted by whimsical steel-drums, Morrison steps in with that assertive poise and conscious seizing wordplay we’ve all come to love over his time in the game; ‘I’m verified in the streets, so take me in/might give Mike Skinner a phone call, tell him top names, cuz I’m the streets’.

However, if Morrison wasn’t impressive enough Banglez sources the heavy-hitting hook through the North-Londoner that seems to hold the sought-after formula to turn any offering into a platinum-plaque right now; Edmonton’s energising front-man, Tion Wayne. The choppy piano led instrumental sees the North-Londoner come through in classic-fashion with that renowned cheeky flow and juxtaposed wordplay; ’I’m an N9 classic, touch me firearms get branded/gyal say real guy’s are rare, so guess I’m the man of the year’.

The trio turn to Kelvin Jones and his team to capture this one; providing paralleled visuals, encapsulating the braggadocios audio with one scene in particular placing the three cooly sauntering away from an exploding car that even Jason Statham would approve of.

With the track already sitting at 1.3 million streams on YouTube in just under a week, Steel Banglez has truly hit the ground running this year - forming an impeccable foundation for the release of his debut album set to see the light later on this year. Sitting at number six on YouTube’s trending list, go run up those numbers and take it to numero uno for the three industry heavy-weights, you won’t be disappointed.
