CLOUD X FESTIVAL 2023 REVIEW

Cloud X introduced their first large-scale festival at Beckenham Place Park last week and although still boutique compared to other big-hitting day festivals, we were impressed to say the least. In fact, the smaller size made the overall experience more intimate and distinct in flavour; from the well-curated artists to the super-engaged crowd there wasn’t much this festival was lacking. Losing your friends’s also impossible, so it’s perfect for your pals who like to wander off.

The bigger version of Cloud X boasted 5 stages multiple bars and a wide range of food options. The main stage cloud X world and the notion stage (powered by popsockets) gave us live music from the likes of Saint levant, Jaz Karis, Pip Millett and Col3trane.

From chatting to strangers in the queue to the security staff cheering us on the way out, this is one of the friendliest festivals we’ve attended, if you’re looking to make new friends at a festival this is the place for you.

Forget glitter and bright colours you have to do a bit more to impress at Cloud X. We were impressed by slick tailoring, interesting materials and clashing patterns.

Most importantly the music was on point the 3rd and biggest Cloud X so far did not disappoint. While they market themselves as an RnB festival, there is absolutely something for everyone. Other stages include DJ stages selectors paradise and Jubel apres arena with a full on Jubel bar built into the stage and the mono unsung stage showcasing up and coming talent from a range of musical genres.

The apres arena hosted a range of DJs playing  current hits from amapiano and afrobeats to dancehall.

The selectors paradise stage was a millennial dream and had us partying like it was 2010. Highlights included crazy cousinz playing their funky house classics and Juls’s DJ set which ranged from afrobeats, grime and his latest hits.
