Ghetto Cinderella

Continuing on his Brazilian x UK fusion journey, Jevon is back with a new song, ‘Ghetto Cinderella’. This new piece is an ode to the late 2000s, with instrumental work inspired by the percussion of The Neptunes and Pharrell. The addition of Brazilian drum work ties in with Jevon’s roots, giving listeners an insight into a sound that many are not familiar with. The visuals also gives ode to ‘Beautiful’ by Pharrell and Snoop Dogg, the 2002 hit that was shot in Rio de Janerio – just like ‘Ghetto Cinderella’. Directors Santi Dulce and Rafael Câmara capture scenes that suits the vibe the song emits – women catching a vibe and picturesque scenes of Brazil.

‘Ghetto Cinderella’ sees Jevon lyrically tackle the word “ghetto” and the negative connotations that usually goes with it, especially when it is directed towards women. Produced by Jevon and legendary Brazilian producer Daniel Ganjaman, this song combines the work of two Brazilian stars, each from different times but putting together a song that is sure to appeal to a wide audience. Jevon’s multifaceted nature shines through once again, in a track that builds up anticipation for his next project ‘FELL IN LOVE WITH BRAZIL’ which is set to drop in August.
