Pump 101

It’s a West London and Merseyside link up. Digga D with the help of Still Brickin’ drops his first single of the new year Pump 101. The rapper hailing from Ladbroke Grove brings the UK sound to a 50 Cent and G-Unit sampled track ‘Stunt 101’, which was first released in 2003 off of their album Beg For Mercy.

Transforming an old school noughties banger into a new school vibe, Digga’s lyrics have the same essence and bravado as the original. His tone is relaxed throughout the track, cruising on the melody with comfort, as he talks about letting off the pump, getting money, and women chasing him. He shows his versatility on the song, proving that he is one of the most talented rapper of the new crop to come through in recent years.

The Northern rapper Still Brickin’, representing Liverpool, adds a crucial dimension to the track with his verse, rapping hard straight bars about being the hardest on road on the beat, which is produced by Agr/Arron.

The song trended No.1 on YouTube and was first posted as a short clip on Digga D’s Instagram for promotion. This is easily a tune that can be played in the club and get air time on the radio, and it wouldn’t be surprised it if is another one of Digga’s songs that enters the UK Top ten charts.
