Stuck

Two of the most inventive and thought-provoking artists in the UK, Kam-bu enlists the serenity of Rachel Chinouriri for remarkable cut ‘Stuck’.

During 2021, Kam-bu has risen from a hotly tipped outsider to one of the most talked about newcomers in alternative rap, with a series of momentous singles. ‘Are You On’ made a huge impression within the alternative fields, with ‘Black On Black’ solidifying his invigorating creativity, and ‘Dumpling’ illustrating his versatility. Rachel Chinouriri has equally dazzled this year, releasing her eclectic, moody and at times painstakingly powerful debut album ‘Four° In Winter’. The potential of this collaboration appeared endlessly promising, and the pair have not disappointed.

A cinematic and vivid journey through tender imagery and inward thoughts, both artists astound with their respective talent. Kam-bu’s delivery is softer and subtler than we have heard from him on the recent singles, but with no less impact on the listener. Rachel’s chorus is bold and beautiful, and its impact is furthered when married with the poignant instrumental, especially those gorgeous strings.

Inspired, unique and moving, this is a really special track. These two are right at the forefront of the engaging, progressive, and unwavering alternative movement that looks more likely than ever to garner wider mainstream acclaim.
