Canadian soulstress Zenesoul returns with musing and mellow single ‘That Love’. Born in Nigeria and raised in Brampton, the singer songwriter uses the influence of her native country, incorporating elements of Afro-beats into her soul-tinged R&B. Having debuted her impressive body of work, ‘Coffee’, Zenesoul released the first single, ‘Love and Be Loved’, from her upcoming project in November. The artist picks up from where she left off on this new offering, with her deft combination of genres and rich, ethereal vocality a recipe for success.

The influence of classic 90s R&B is palpable, with the nimble, natural drums and creamy bass producing a lively groove, combining with jazz-tinged piano chords and soft, opulent harmonies. The simplistic instrumentation allows Zenesoul to sprawl gorgeous vocal melodies, her tone bursting with confidence and ardor. Zenesoul is searching for a love that “feels good to your soul” and “feels like you’re at home” on what is an optimistic and refreshing look on relationships, brimming with clarity and virtue.

With profound lyricism and a memorable, affecting hook that is destined to be stuck in your head for weeks to come, this is another supremely solid effort from one of R&B’s hottest newcomers.
