The Cold Callers are set to take you to the sun

Forget Masego, come check out Hertfordshire's very own Cold Callers, the duo who blew my mind with their live performance at The Pit London Playlist Party this week. The Cold Callers set the bar high as I came into listen to their debut EP As the Sun Sets which was a soft collision of Jazz and Soul with a mixture of Hip Hop/Rap. It trickled all the way down to my favourite stand out track Summer Nights, which is a very eclectic song with the shift in melodies and rhyme pattern.

As we have seen Badbadnotgood, Masego and The Internet flourish in a lane that has brought new light to Hip Hop with heavy production focusing on live instruments. I believe Cold Callers are moonwalking into that scene with ease as they have found a way to showcase their appreciation for Jazz with a unique spin on it.  Haven’t had the chance to listen to the duo’s latest project Swallowed By the Sun EP but if its anything like the first one, you are we are in for a treat.
