A Toa$t

Morriarchi has been a staple in the UK hip hop scene for as long as I have been a fan. Now he is taking his expertise across borders, not for the first time, for a link up with Richmond Virginia emcee Koncept Jack$on on ‘A Toa$t’, a precursor for their full EP out in October.

If you’re clued up on the US’s underground scene then Koncept Jack$on will be a fairly familiar name; whether it’s guest verses on rapper and producer Pink Siifu’s projects, or collaborative work with Fly Anakin, Koncept is always grafting with kindred spirits. In this regard Koncept is a reliable wildcard who always brings something consistently unpredictable to the table.

The same could be said for ‘A Toa$t’ where feature vocals from Boston Massachusetts’ KAYANA are used by Morriarchi ingeniously as strings for Koncept Jack$on’s keys. There are other across-the-pond appearances on the full EP ‘Graceful Snafu’ which will be released via Group Bracil on October 29th.

For now ‘A Toa$t’ seems like the perfect way to enjoy our overly-coined Indian summer, that and maybe a cocktail or some sort of beverage to… well, make a toast.
