Badger and A Guy Called Gerald Mucked Up Manchester
Manchester got properly mucky last weekend as DJ dynamo Badger teamed up with acid house pioneer A Guy Called Gerald for a free rave right outside Manchester Cathedral. No tickets, no stress, just pure chaos and sound. Gerald, a founding member of 808 State and one of the original architects of UK rave culture, brought serious heritage energy. Badger, known for his viral remix of the BBC news theme and a string of old school edits, brought the internet crowd to real life. Together, they went B2B and absolutely tore it up.
This wild linkup was part of the launch for Captain Morgan’s new Muck Pit Brew, a sparkling tropical drink blending mango, hops and their Spiced Gold rum. With muck up vans rolling through the streets, branded glassware and everyone dancing like it was ‘89 again, it felt like Manchester was the centre of the universe. Big tunes, big legends, no messing.
