Multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist Bert returns with Battling a single that epitomises his poignancy and musicality. 

Brighton born and now Leeds based, Bert has been on our radar since his emergence. His debut body It’s all gd, dw, released back in February, is an introspective and pensive quest for self understanding and artist progression. A fruitful summer ensued, with the multi-faceted talent playing various shows and festivals such as Live @ Leeds.

Back with his first post-project single, with Battling Bert augments the sonic foundations he began to construct on the debut tape. The new tune is drenched in gentle tribulation and heartfelt sentiments. Picked guitar chords are joined by purposeful percussion, a vibrant palette on which Bert spews lyrics of reflection and nostalgia. It’s a subtle and mature cut that leaves Bert poised for a blossoming 2023.
