ESSEO brings a fresh dose of energy with BWU, a dreamy and vibey track that blends melodic rap with smooth, infectious vocals. The British Nigerian artist takes listeners on a spacey journey through love and relationships, creating a sound that feels both personal and effortlessly catchy.
Born and raised in Luton before moving to Lagos at 12 and later spending three years in Houston, ESSEO draws from a colourful mix of cultures and experiences. Influenced by Travis Scott and PARTYNEXTDOOR, his style sits comfortably between rap and melody.
His musical journey includes work with Vital Knights, whose tracks reached Channel AKA and MTV Base, plus performances alongside Wretch 32, Mz Bratt and Ghetts. ESSEO has also released five full length projects, including Birds Before Land.
Beyond music, he studied Music & Entertainment Industry Management at the University of Hertfordshire and worked on campaigns involving Labrinth and Dua Lipa. BWU shows an artist continuing to carve out his own lane.
