Dancing in the Sun
Frida and The Mann have arrived with their debut single Dancing in the Sun and it’s a radiant first step from a band already making noise in Cleveland. Winners of the 2024 Cleveland Music Awards Best New Artist, the four piece blend alternative rock and indie pop into a sound that feels atmospheric and full of heart.
Fronting it all is Frida, whose voice carries both vulnerability and fire. Her story adds another layer to the track as she only began singing three years ago after leaving her orthodox Jewish community where performing was forbidden. Now, alongside Adam Cramer on guitar, Zachary Horstman on drums and Stefan Johnson on bass, she is turning disassociation into art.
The song builds on soaring vocals and shimmering guitar lines while the video adds a dreamlike punch. Dancing in the Sun feels like a liberation anthem and a bold promise of what’s to come.
