Emerging Brooklyn soulstress Imani Beau delves through love and lust on rich new single The Way I Want You, plucked from her debut 4-track EP Felt. 

Since announcing herself to the scene in 2020, Imani has caught the ear of R&B fans with her silky and colourful sonic tapestries, taking influence from a broad array of styles to create a sound that is both classic and modern. Equipped with an elegant voice, striking lyricism and vibrant soundscapes, the New Yorker looks set to make an impression with her opening body of work. The new offering showcases Imani at her opulent best, with the dynamic production matching her stunning vocal performance, potent writing and textured harmonies. 

Speaking on the inspiration behind the single, Imani Beau explains:

“ I was dating this guy and I felt this flame between us so I wrote this song and sent it to him on his birthday. We didn’t work, but such is life lol The song is still f*cking fire!”
