FDMB

Lee Scott and Sly Moon are back in the funk bakery to present us with the flour-doused LP ‘FDMB’.

In a flexing of flow and rhythm, the duo share Lee’s beats across a handful of three or so minute tracks which will have every one of your limbs doing their own little dance.

Lee is quick to remind you of his production prowess both on the mic and turntable, utilising Blah’s recent signing Franky Bones’ instrumentation and vocalising, particularly in one of the standouts ‘Nobody Does This’.

Further along we have feature vocals from Cult of the Damned staples Salar, Tony Broke and Bill Shakes in what Lee has coined ‘A dedication to hip-hop music’ on his Bandcamp. Those dedicated fans also had two opportunities to see the album live in London and Bristol shows; the latter probably homing the smallest stage Lee has ever rapped on- being level and touching distance from the pair though, for me at least, only bettered the experience.

‘Flipping Dough Making Bread’ is out everywhere, but sorry you were too slow on the vinyl as they have all sold out, maybe Dan Robinson’s typography had a part to play in this… or maybe not.
