Feels Right
‘Feels Right’ is the latest solo release from the ever-versatile Biig Piig. The singer rose to prominence alongside NiNE8, her creative collective consisting of Lava La Rue, NAYANA IZ, Bone Slim, L!BAAN, Nige, Lorenzorsv and kxrn. But as her string of recent singles shows, there’s little she can’t do alone.
This new tune is an evolution from the smokey hip hop of her early EPs. It’s a melodic dance number with a true groove, shimmering synths and a smacking bassline. Her hushed vocals sing of letting go and going with the flow, harking back to the days of nightlife debauchery that she craves.
From the FIFA 21 soundtrack, to Later… With Jools Holland, Biig Piig can be heard everywhere. She’s a humble leader across multiple musical fields, striking a chord with a generation strung-out on student debts and online trends.
Her latest offering is the dancefloor flashback we all needed. The spotlight is on Biig Piig and it certainly feels right.
