Finesser

JJ Finesser is turning the page on a new chapter with Vintage ’Finesser, his fifth studio album and a celebration of love, family and how far he has come. Arriving after his engagement and fourth album Ms. Finesser, the project finds the independent artist preparing for marriage with a little inspiration from the generations before him.

The album title pays tribute to Eddie Kendricks’ Vintage ’78, while JJ’s love for Motown goes back to watching The Temptations biopic with his grandad at just four years old. With his grandparents celebrating 50 years of marriage, it sounds like JJ has had a pretty good example of lasting love.

His journey began at Santa Clara University, where he started making music at 17 before releasing his debut album Nalej. His third album, Classic OG, was inspired by time spent with his great grandfather, a World War II veteran.

JJ has also been making noise on radio. “Perfect Match” opened with 859 spins across 13 stations, while “Live Life” reached 776 spins in a single week. He has earned four college radio number ones, including “I’m Still There” featuring Gem Goldy, and received support from hip hop radio legends Nasty Nes and Fatman Scoop.

With five albums under his belt and wedding bells on the horizon, JJ Finesser has plenty to celebrate.
