Clbrks has rekindled with beat maker and friend Kiina for Habits 2, the sequel to their 2017 entry Habits. 

Carrying itself at a slightly faster tempo than its originator, Habits 2 does not see CL double-time, but it does encourage him to reel off his wistful wisdoms marginally quicker to keep up with Kiina’s crisp, capricious soundscapes. 

Five years have elapsed between the releases, when asked about this stretch of time Clbrks prophesised: “Not much has changed, but we’re better. Expect the unexpected. Eat your greens”. 

Something that stays the same through the 8 tracks is the brazen braggadocio exhibited by our man in question. He’s joined by donors Bisk, Conrad Mundy, Renelle 893 and 1Jack; the majority have featured in past CL endeavours and can provide a switch of narratives or delivery. 

There was a video for early release single and standout track WHERE I AM IS NOT IMPORTANT on Clbrks’ Youtube channel. Kiina deploys a slightly darker instrumentation here which prioritises CL’s vocals- Honey JD does the directing. 

 Habits 2 drops today, February 11th, via Kiina’s Wing Yip Records with vinyl available to cop.
