Head High

Joey Bada$$ releases his latest single Head High alongside a performance of the track on COLORS.

The visuals in the video suit the song perfectly with Joey dripped out head to toe in cream-coloured clothing against a baby blue background matching the chilled out and easy-going vibe that’s being manifested throughout the performance.

The track has a smooth old school 90s hip-hop feel to it that combines well with Joey’s nonchalant flow as he styles on the beat flexing his clever and insightful word play.

“Huggin' the block but the block ain't hug us back”; he dedicates the song to the people who are stuck in the trap and crime lifestyle whilst at the same time urging everyone to keep their heads up.

Earlier this year Joey released the single THE REV3NGE and made regular appearances as an actor on Starz TV show Raising Kanan, a part of 50 Cent’s Power universe.

It is rumoured that Head High will appear on the Brooklyn rapper’s upcoming unnamed album.
