Singer, rapper and songwriter Monét returns to release her new single ‘hunnitdegrees’ featuring London rapper OG KEMi. Produced by GYPTXVN, the single showcases a psychedelic Hip-Hop beat following on from earlier single ‘Just One of Those Days’, further emphasising her versatility and signature spoken-word style. The production provides the perfect backdrop for Monét to demonstrate her hypnotic vocals, with her lyrics exploring themes of female empowerment and promoting a carefree approach to life, whilst her voice tingles with quiet emotion. 

When speaking on the track Monét said:

“This song is about channelling your feminine energy, owning your shxt and straighttttt flexin’! There’s no other way to put it lol. It’s about living your life exactly how you want without caring what others think (especially men haha).”

Over the past few months, the London native has built excitement through the release of ‘Just One of Those Days’, championing support from the likes of Reprezent, Rinse FM, The Beat London, No Signal Radio and BBC Radio London to name a few. Monét is certainly moving in the right circles making multiple appearances in music videos including a recent track from Miles from Kinshasa and Kadiata called “Don't Be an Opp'' appearing alongside Alt Hip-Hop heavyweight Knucks. 

With her EP set to drop in 2022, it's an exciting time for the independent artist who is looking forward to finishing university and focusing on her music. One thing is certain; Monét offers a timely reminder of the vast talent within the burgeoning UK scene
