Life of The Party
South West London’s rising star Gwamz has just dropped Life of The Party, a genre-blending, statement-making EP that firmly positions him as one of the UK’s most exciting voices in afro-fusion. The seven-track project arrives off the back of the amapiano-charged single “French Tips” featuring Efosa, already making waves with spins from DJ Semtex on Capital XTRA and Ellie Prohan on KISS XTRA.
Led by the vibrant “HOT GURLZ” and the BXKS-assisted “VIBRATE,” the EP blends afro-fusion, hip-hop, R&B, and amapiano into a sound that’s rhythmic, futuristic, and uniquely Gwamz. “French Tips” and “VIBRATE” form the project’s anchor points, bursting with energy while also revealing a deeper emotional undercurrent. Tracks like “YAGI” slow things down, offering introspective moments that showcase Gwamz’s lyrical honesty and sonic range.
Having just wrapped a sold-out UK tour supporting Skeete, including shows at The Lower Third and Islington Assembly Hall, Gwamz is clearly on the rise. Life of The Party isn’t just a collection of tracks, it’s a cohesive, culture-forward body of work that fuses South London with Ghanaian roots, balancing bold charisma with raw vulnerability.
