North Carolina-based rapper Saul Goode is back with a burst of energy on his vibrant new single Like Like, the lead release from his highly anticipated album Sebastian, produced by long-time collaborator Lele (aka Empc). Featuring a standout guest verse from Jamla Records’ The Musalini, the track fuses Saul Goode’s sharp, introspective bars with bouncy, head-nodding production that blends laid-back Southern grooves and classic New York rap bravado. Recorded during a reflective afternoon walk—transforming the clink of ice cubes and loud neighborhood birds into percussion—Like Like feels both intimate and cinematic. Fans got a first taste live at Carrboro’s legendary Cat’s Cradle, where Saul Goode debuted his new band led by brother TJ Maiani on drums. Having first built an international following in Seoul as half of Part Time Cooks and a Sign Here semi-finalist, Saul Goode now channels influences from Mac Miller, Anderson Paak, Little Simz, Erykah Badu, and Nujabes into a sound that is playful, thoughtful, and undeniably infectious.
