Mescalito

Enigmatic emcee Immi Larusso is back with another dose of reluctant introspection in his first entry of the year ‘Mescalito’.

Drawing influence from US writer Carlos Castaneda and his trip to Mexico in the 60’s, Larusso references the character Mescalito and the dream-induced state he finds himself in after consuming mescaline from a specific spineless cacti found in the region.

Something less spineless but equally as dream-inducing is the production; Immi’s usual suspects Lonewolf Mcquay and Thugs Bunny are joined by fellow lo-fi producers Madboey and Manu Mainetti as well as Argentina’s much revered RepliK, whose title-track piano chords start the tape brilliantly.

As for mic contributions it is just Bisk who is privileged enough to get some words in, featuring in ‘ORB’ one of the tracks which also has visuals to guide your trip.

‘Mescalito Tape’ is out on Immi Larusso’s Bandcamp now; with the opening two tracks available to watch on his Youtube.
