Ministry of Sound Turns 34 with Armand Van Helden and a Year of Dance Floor Firsts

Ministry of Sound is blowing out 34 candles in style with New York house legend Armand Van Helden leading the charge, alongside rising stars Olive F and Paisley Jensen. One of the most iconic clubs in electronic music, the South London institution continues to set the pace after welcoming millions of clubbers through its doors over three decades.

This year has been packed with big moves. The club launched three fresh in-house brands: Smoove, spotlighting UKG, funky and R&B, URGE, with stripped back tech house names like Matthias Tanzmann and Cuartero, and Disco Daddy, which brought in Derrick Carter and Dimitri From Paris. Ministry also unveiled its new NVR space, introduced the No Velvet Rope Society to reinvent VIP, and even embraced sober raving with mocktails, CBD serves and low-alcohol twists.

After going viral with its Toilet Takeover rave that hit 20 million views, anticipation for the 35th anniversary is already sky-high.
