2020 was the year I stumbled across Archy Moor, 2021 will be the year I continue to drop him into every music conversation I have. With his latest release ‘Remember Me’, I’m really impressed with how the standard has elevated again. For me, this is when an artist becomes really exciting. they constantly evolve and build whilst never dropping the ball in standards. When I can see the determination to add authenticity into the soundscape, I automatically take an invested interest.

‘Remember Me’ is constructed with jazzy hip-hop at the core, something that we’ve come to appreciate Archy for, as well as his knack to own the narrator role. Whilst setting a hazy and chilled atmosphere, Archy doesn’t hide away in the pockets of space - instead, utilises his ability to weave in and out of the beat, allowing those counter melodies in the instrumental to shine, as well as his wordplay. Hats off to Pete Brién for the production.

In 2021, his debut EP ‘Moorlands’ is set to release, and I just know it’s going to be one of those records for whilst I’m working, but also whilst I’m relaxing. His style is definitely one of those that is flexible for the listener, in a way that it’s not just meant for one specific environment.
