RoadRunnas

Recently formed and hotly anticipated, the multicultural and avant garde Children of the Wind breezily murmur a message of intent to the alternative hip hop scene on their debut single ‘RoadRunnas’. Formed through friendship and shared musical fervour, the collective is made up of producer Teeze and artists Lechani, Loraxx and Noga Bedo. The track is taken from their upcoming EP, also called RoadRunnas, which was written whilst the collective embarked on a European road trip. 

On the nonchalant, vivacious beat, the absence of complication reigns kings. Jazzy guitar chords are guided into a relaxed groove by the laidback drums and bass guitar, moulded together by Teeze’s understated, sophisticated production. There are memorable melodies scattered throughout, complimenting the charming verses that tell tales from the groups shared adventures across Europe. Each member of the collective is, at least, bilingual and the use of both English and French in the track oozes authenticity and acuity.

A group that encompasses excellence, Children of the Wind’s shared creativity, lack of musical boundaries and charismatic rapport alludes to a bright future.
