Same Old Ways

R&B singer Ama Lou is one of the most exciting and authentic voices to come out the genre in recent years and has stated her letter of intent with the landing of the music video for Same Old Ways, a track off of her EP AT LEAST WE HAVE THIS.

The energetic instrumental produced by Maestro The Baker has provided the space for Ama’s voice to captivate listeners with its smooth silkiness showing off the new R&Drill sound that’s becoming so popular. We see the effortless transition from her sweet seductive tone to ice cold rap as she styles out with lyrics that point out youth culture and being involved “ Blacked out bally in a new North Face”, she displays two sides to her.

The visuals that accompany the video show Ama and her friend Samson arriving in a new private school that can symbolise Ama arriving in a new school of R&B that she’s occupying alongside a few others. We see black culture celebrated through the art hanging up on the walls.
