Sehore

Sehore is a dazzling musical project that emerged with a bold vision, releasing two albums, Ladencia and Husfikbur, recorded at Paco Loco Studio and mastered by Mario G. Alberni for MusicHunters Records. The project has already earned recognition at the Global Music Awards, with Pesadilla receiving a Silver Medal and Bla bla bla (Cha cha cha) taking Bronze. Four songs from Husfikbur were also selected for the International Songwriting Competition, signaling that Sehore is more than just a quirky experiment in sound.

The music is an adventurous mix of kitsch, irony, and experimental pop. Sehore embraces the cheesy, the outdated, and the joy of taste for bad taste, turning what might seem corny into art that is both thoughtful and playful. Tracks like Bla bla bla (Cha cha cha) explore language as gesture and effect, layering Lydian modes over cha-cha-cha rhythms to turn repetition into texture and experience. Meanwhile, Pesadilla uses Locrian and Phrygian modes to craft a haunting, three-note meditation inspired by Georges Bataille. Other highlights include Safari, which tackles aporophobia through a whole-tone scale adventure, Superstar, a cheeky critique of social media obsession, and Mariposa, a calypso-inspired anthem celebrating LGTBI+ rights. Sehore also nods to Stanley Jordan in Madurez 2.0, and mixes disco, funk, and bossa velha rhythms throughout, blending consonance and dissonance with effortless playfulness.

Press coverage from The Big Takeover, Obscure Sound, Earmilk, Magnetic Magazine, Illustrate Magazine, York Calling, Iggy Magazine, Clout, and It´s all indie has already highlighted the project’s inventive spirit. Sehore’s music invites listeners to explore emotion, absurdity, and philosophical play, proving that kitsch, when embraced fully, becomes a landscape for serious creativity and unforgettable sonic experiences.
