Sentinel

James The Prophet is a mere 20 years old but is already lining up his debut LP ‘Unimaginable Storms’ with a feature from the UK’s Lord Apex on early release single ‘Sentinel’.

The title for the track reflects on a remote island in the Andaman Islands called North Sentinel, where it is said an uncontacted tribe, the Sentinelese, have lived for millennia.

Born on the turn of a new millennium, French-American spitter James started releasing music on Soundcloud as early as 2015 and within a few years had his ‘Glaive Freestyle’ reaching ears he’d never have had imagined. French rap legend Booba shared the track around resulting in critical acclaim and eventually, following other releases, a deal with Rupture Records in 2018 - a Sony-distributed label.

Now, James has called on Lord Apex’s nimble narratives for his sixth single in as many months, ‘Sentinel’. This will feature on James’ heavily anticipated debut LP ‘Unimaginable Storms’ dropping July 9th, which alludes to the personal struggles people hide behind their smiling eyes.

‘Sentinel’ is out now along with some cartoon visuals to accompany on James The Prophet’s Youtube Channel courtesy of Migrating Lines.
