Side Effect

If clarity had a tempo, it might sound like Raghd’s new single “Side Effect.” Tightly coiled and full of bounce, the track is a bass-heavy statement of self-assurance. Her flow is effortless yet razor-sharp, gliding over soul-tinged textures and Miami percussion with total control.

“This is about cause and effect,” says Raghd. “Even when things feel pointless, I know there’s more to come. I trust my gut so much it can only mean one thing – I’m that bitch.”

“Side Effect” kicks off a new wave of music from the rising Swedish artist, with an EP set for this fall and her debut album to follow in 2025. A global campaign with Carhartt WIP and a Europe tour (Copenhagen, Berlin, London, Prague, Amsterdam) will roll out this autumn.

Following two acclaimed EPs – including A Good Friend, praised by Anthony Fantano as Best EP – Raghd has become one of the most talked-about acts in Sweden’s genre-bending scene, playing Eurosonic, selling out a London headline, and landing a SadBoi remix of “Easy Go!” on Dagens Nyheter’s Best Songs of 2024.
