The Dallas based singer songwriter and pediatric oncologist has been writing music since his Harvard days in the late 80s, bringing nearly four decades of experience to a track that feels both reflective and refreshingly optimistic. Built around the idea of pushing forward when the easy route no longer makes sense, Taking the Long Way finds Koh embracing detours rather than running from them.

The song also serves as the title track of his nine song debut LP, with bassist Sean Hurley and drummer Jake Reed among the musicians involved in the sessions. Mixed and mastered by Grammy winning engineers Darrell Thorp and Michael Romanowski, it is a spirited introduction to an artist who has clearly taken his time getting here.
