The Gallery
North London Grime pioneer Miles, formerly known as Dimples, makes a triumphant return with his debut Hip Hop album The Gallery, his first full-length project in over 12 years. A cornerstone of the original Grime wave alongside Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Lethal B, and Boy Better Know, Miles helped shape a genre that would dominate the UK. He made his mark with classic appearances on the Grime anthem Private Caller, national radio sets on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, and Kiss FM, and live sets with virtually every major name in the scene.
Trading frenetic Grime energy for introspective Hip Hop, The Gallery is an exhibition of everything Miles has lived through, inspired by Garage, Jungle, and Basement sounds. A Joker undertone runs through the album, mirrored in city-night music videos. Viral tracks over Jay-Zās Public Service Announcement instrumental earned nods from Scott Storch, while Jadakiss features on the intro and a standout record, keeping the focus unmistakably on Miles.
