The Green Room Live: Weyland McKenzie + Ego Ella May + Dips & Lo-Wu

The Green Room is a conceptual & conversationalist show on the Roundhouse’s award-winning Transmission Roundhouse network, hosted by Musician/DJ/Radio producer Weyland Mckenzie and Commonwealth Games 2018 Gold medallist athlete Reuben Arthur. To launch series two of the show The Green Room are having a showcase at The Roundhouse’s Sackler Space on October 25th

Ego Ella May is a London singer-songwriter who has worked with the likes of Joe Armon-Jones (Ezra Collective), Wu-Lu and Eddie Hick (Sons of Kemet) and has received support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Gilles Peterson (BBC 6Music), alongside The New York Times, Noisey and Clash Magazine.

Weyland Mckenzie, co-host of The Green Room and Roundhouse Resident Artist, is a London based rapper and DJ who has has seen songs from his debut EP Northeast gain support from Capital XTRA, 1Xtra, Reprezent and Rinse FM. Weyland recently made his Boiler Room debut, performing as part of their “Low Heat” season.

Dips + Lo-Wu are a London based rapper-producer duo known for their heavy bass and melodic instrumentals.

The previous season of the show has seen guests such as US rap legend Royce da 5"9, Political commentator & Rapper The Drilminster, South London songstress Suelily and GB athlete Lina Nielsen. Series 2 of the show aims  is to take listeners on a journey into an audio Twilight Zone where music, archive audio and conversations come together to explore different concepts.
