Waves is the first song ever released by R&B singer/songwriter Jada O’Neill who was born in Barbados and was raised in Antigua and Barbuda. The track is deeply rooted in smooth classic R&B and her lyricism crafts deep emotions that threaten to pull you under creating a heartfelt sound that leaves you aching.

She showcases a voice that leaves the listener mesmerised, comparing the experiences of her love life to waves. Her tone stays gentle and cosy despite reminding her ex-love that his new girl won’t love him she did, and also reflecting on his behaviour in their relationship. A simple instrumental produced by Priv.otb, is played throughout the song, layered with percussion and a guitar rift that is played.

Jada says:

“Waves is my story of the inconsistencies in relationships and how it can come in sets of tides. Highs and lows.”

We can’t want to see what else Jada has in store for us later down the year.
