Wicked & Bad

Upcoming Welsh pioneer Mace The Great releases another new-wave Grime track that is so iconically MTG. Wicked & Bad is one of many tracks being released in the run-up to forthcoming album Splott World.

Wales is known for many things though rap music hasn’t yet been one. On the road to changing this, however, Mace The Great is determined to change this and make a name for himself among rappers to put Wales on the map of UK Rap. MTG has taken inspiration from rappers like Aminé. Listeners can also find Mace The Great in the BBC documentary ‘Wales: Music Nation with Huw Stephens’.

Wicked & Bad is injected with Jamaican influence and the use of patois running throughout the track straight from the opening. This new track sits well among current popular UK Rap tracks with the use of drill slides and trippity-trap high hats. MTG projects his bars and lyrics strongly however still keeps his welsh-twinge in his accent adding diversity to the saturated sound of London rappers.
