TV Dinner

Birthed from a SBTV Warm Up Session back in 2015, Brixton-based BUSHROD has since refined his style to something branded as alternative rap.

This is what we have in his second project ‘TV Dinner’; a colourful, indie pop infused take on rap which undresses personal problems like a playfully provocative casting eye. The project was written during last years’ summer lockdown where we had more time on our hands than blisters and coincided with BUSHROD losing his job after pushing his music through work emails.

One of the most down to earth rappers I’ve heard in a while, you’ll find it hard not to relate to the lyrics and even harder not to rate the flow, which, simply put, is as natural as spring water. Bottle it up with groovy, cheerful piano and guitar riffs and you’ve got a highly marketable product that will fly off the shelves.

‘TV Dinner’ dropped July 15th and features vocal from Alice D in ‘Omens’, one of the tracks blessed with some vivid visuals.
