Ebbs & Flows

Although Aaron Taylor has only released a handful of projects, the British soul musician has been making music his whole life. Still only in the nascent stages of his career, Taylor saw a surge in his growth when his track Lesson Learnt was featured in an Apple advert in 2019. Already an artist on the rise, but now with millions of streams under his belt, Taylor has been making a name for himself as a burgeoning neo-soul artist.

His first release since his debut album, Icarus in 2020, Ebbs & Flows stands as a reminder to the listener to relish in life’s quiet and ordinary moments. With a lot of his lyrical content being informed by personal life experiences, his soulful tonality showcases his innate ability to make you feel every word. It is so interesting that musicality, which is so comforting and soft, cuts through so piercingly.

Sharing the inspiration for the song, Taylor explains:

‘Ebbs and Flows’ is a song that sums up how life was for me over lockdown. I didn’t get up to all that much but also was OK with that. It’s about being content with the ups and downs of life and not breaking to the pressure of having to feel busy or purposeful.
