Nottingham rapper Garton cuts through the noise with FOG, a dark and moody 140 BPM track produced alongside fellow Nottingham talent Zoutr. Built on heavy production and raw introspection, the track captures the feeling of trying to clear the mental fog, block out the noise and lock back into the music.
Already picking up support from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1Xtra through Theo Johnson, FOG keeps Garton’s momentum rolling following his recent On The Radar Freestyle. While this release explores a different pocket, his slick flows and underground rooted introspection remain firmly intact.
Zoutr’s weighty production gives Garton plenty of space to flex, creating a murky backdrop that perfectly matches the track’s reflective energy. Coming straight out of Nottingham, FOG feels like another confident step from two artists pushing the city’s sound forward. Moody, focused and refreshingly raw, Garton is definitely cutting through the fog.
