Los Angeles Hip hop artist Lincoln Roy is bringing a fresh international flavour to the genre with Tape 4rm Tha Concrete Jungle. With Belizean and Jamaican roots, LR blends Hip hop with Dancehall and Afro Swing, creating a lively sound that refuses to sit quietly in one box. It is music with movement, personality and plenty of cultural flavour.

LR’s journey into music started at 12 when he learned to play drums and keyboards, before stepping into production at 19. Since then, he has built an impressive catalogue, beginning with the Concrete Jungle EP Leap of Faith in 2017, followed by Vol. 2 in 2018 and The Trials EP in 2019. His releases have continued to explore Hip hop fusion and crossover territory, showcasing an artist who clearly enjoys experimenting and keeping listeners guessing.

Tape 4rm Tha Concrete Jungle carries that same adventurous spirit. LR brings together the energy of Hip hop with Dancehall rhythms and Afro Swing influences, creating a sound that feels rooted in Los Angeles while reaching well beyond it. There is a playful confidence to his approach, as he moves between styles without making the combinations feel forced.

His live schedule is also picking up serious momentum. Earlier this year, LR performed at London’s Village Underground on April 11 and at SOB’s in New York City on June 9, giving audiences in two major music cities a taste of his sound. Now he is back in the UK, bringing that energy to Birmingham and London.

Today, Saturday 15 August, LR performs at Sector 57 in Birmingham during Savage Fest UK 2026 from 3pm to 11pm. He will then head to London for a performance at Amersham Arms on 21 August from 6pm.
