i never called you back

South London emcee sudders has once again recruited the soulful vocals of Mac Lloyd for the pairs’ second single of the year ‘i never called you back’. 

sudders burst onto the scene at the backend of last year with his entirely self-produced and released album ‘A Little Bit of Me’. As skilled a filmmaker as he is a wordsmith, sudders’ hit single ‘Breathe’ came with a chilly set of visuals capturing him in Scottish waters to beautiful effect, with the audio getting airtime on BBC Radio 1 no less. 

As for our vocalist, Mac Lloyd’s expressive harmonics earnt him a spot on Bristol’s Green Brick Records roster where he has collaborated with label head Res One as well as Lazy Eyez, on top of solo releases. 

‘i never called you back’ really showcases how the duos’ styles compliment in a hip-hop, jazz amalgamation of sorts where sudders is just after a light, if you don’t mind digging out your clipper.
