I Want

ENNY’s rapid ascent to domestic notoriety has been spearheaded by the success of the Jorja Smith-assisted remix to her track ‘Peng Black Girls’. The South-East London artist has now returned with her 2nd single of 2021 in ‘I Want’ which follows up her March released single ‘Same Old’.

ENNY said the following on the track:

“This tune is defo a significant song in my musical journey as it was the first song that Paya and I made together. We had no expectation, just vibes, London, and some wavey weather. This is one to bubble to and motivate you to get up and get what you want.”

‘I Want’ can be seen as an upbeat proclamation of ENNY’s desires in realms that include her personal relationships, career and overall peace of mind.

This track represents a subtle departure from ENNY’s prior stripped and laid back backdrops ,as she dives into dance-R&B with a sound akin to phenom KAYTRANADA. The Paya-produced track makes great use of a funky bassline, claps, spacy synths and quirky percussions to create an invigorating and rousing melodic domain, perfectly complimenting ENNY’s captivating lyricism.
