Fresh off the back of his collaborative project with Cookin Soul, Lord Apex returns to his self-releasing, independent ways in the shape of this latest short single ineedapoundofgushers.

The self-donned Sensei has crusaded through London’s underground scene since his inception where his subsequent Smoke Sessions garnered worldwide acclaim and ensured Apex a household name in his city.

Many collaborations and live shows since, the teachings still remain fairly similar. First appearing on my radar after his and Finn Foxell’s 2018 project, Lord Apex persists on freewill and independence in a scene where this is often easy to lose. His motivation and consistent creative output perhaps discontinues the lazy-stoner fallacy, in fact for him, enveloped by smoke is where he is at his most productive.

There are whispers of a Lord Apex and Drae Da Skimask project which should materialise soon, till then keep up with the Sensei’s teachings with this little number.
