Wid it

Edmonton’s emerging energy in Tion Wayne links up with costal cheeky-chappy Arrdee, to once again let us know they really are ‘Wid It’, brining us the visuals to their latest intoxicating offering.

Charisma, desirable materials, and of course talent are just a few of things that can take one to the top; and these two undeniably tick all those boxes, bringing some unexpected excitement to the game, with the two’s renowned cheeky mannerisms and infectious flows.

‘Wid It’ see’s the two rappers reignite the chemistry formed on Russ and Tion’s ‘Body Remix’, riding a drill-infused instrumental courtesy of Gotcha; easing us into a string of feminine vocals ruminating through the ether, followed by that classic hi-hat drill pattern just as Tion once again graces us with a conscious-seizing hook all before the energetic drum pattern sparks off as Arrdee brings that charming aura we’ve all come to love.

Bringing us a track from two of the game’s cheekiest wordsmiths; there’s no surprise this one happens to be riddled with numerous one-liners that’ll have you smirking away throughout. With Tion bringing that unapologetic energy with the cool-headed confidence he posses exhibited in bars such as; ‘ever since I made ‘I dunno’, the tax man been on me for my statements’ and a favourite; ’I got blonde girls coming to my show, even though their dad is a racist’. Arrdee, in classic fashion, lets us in on his newfound lavish-laddy lifestyle; ‘I ain’t never rolled with sticks, just blonde girls, small waists, big tits’ and one more reference to his free-flowing taste in women ‘you know my girl Naij’.

Green Lambo 4x4’s, green bally’s, an army of models and even a green monster truck just for an extra touch, N9’s Tion is surely turning his haters ‘Green with Envy’ with these braggadocios visuals, seeing the artist put his glimmering lifestyle on full display.

With his debut album set for release soon following a recent announcement from Edmonton’s front-runner himself, ‘Wid It’ is just a glimpse of what’s to come on ‘Green with Envy’, as well as a window into the drill rapper’s potential ascension to taking that full leap into mainstream coverage alongside Arrdee’s very own rapid climb to the top. But till then take in this new joint.
